Fugi is a 7 year old special needs Jersey Wooly mix rabbit. He is neutered and litter box trained. He came to Wisconsin House Rabbit Society because he kept getting ulcers on his eyes. WHRS took him to the vet and treated him with eye medication. The ulcers would heal, but they kept coming back. Eventually, the vet discovered his eye lids don't close completely, so a small area on both eyes weren't getting lubricated. The vet recommended using a special over the counter eye lubricant 3 times a day to keep his eyes moist. Fugi has not had an ulcer since starting this treatment, but he will need it for the rest of his life.
Fugi can be territorial of his cage, so he would do best in a home without young children.
